Membership Requirement

Both parents (or guardians) of the Bat/Bar Mitzvah student must be members of the congregation for at least eighteen months prior to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah date and their accounts must be in good standing at the time of Bat/Bar Mitzvah.

Separated, divorced or non-Jewish spouses are exempt from this requirement. Any other exceptional circumstance should be reviewed with the Rabbi and the Bar/Bat Mitzvah and Membership Committee.

Only members can book a bar or bat mitzvah date. Non-members who are considering joining the shul and booking a bar or bat mitzvah may inquire about the availability of dates but a booking can only be made after the parents or guardians have become members.
