FAMILY SERVICES
Our High Holiday Family Services are sure to engage, build connections, and develop your family’s sense of Jewish community through a spiritual celebration of the holiest days on our calendar. These services are geared for families with children ages 0-12 and are to be experienced and enjoyed by parents and children together.
We are excited to introduce Fran Sharpe, who will be leading our services with our Director of Family and Youth Engagement, Carly Prusky on Rosh Hashanah Day I and Yom Kippur. Fran comes to the Narayever with years of experience as a Jewish educator, song leader, and service leader. These services will focus on high holiday highlights and offer families an opportunity to engage with each other and with liturgy.
There will also be a lounge for children ages 8 and up to take breaks from services, where games, books, and snacks will be provided in addition to our drop-off babysitting (ages 2 - 8) at the MNJCC childcare.
Please note that children are warmly welcome in the family service, in the childcare area, in the supervised lounge, or in the main adult service with their parents/guardians.
Rosh Hashanah Day II: Beyachad Bachootz – All-Ages Outdoor Family Service
Back by popular demand, Sarah Colman will be leading Rosh Hashanah Day II Beyachad Bachootz, an outdoor all-ages service in the MNJCC playground where we will come together as a community to turn the outdoors into a sacred space. Please make sure to bring outdoor blankets or chairs to suit your comfort. Please note that if it rains, this service will be held in the MNJCC theater.
Rosh Hashanah Day II: Family Program
On Rosh Hashanah Day II at the same time as the Beyachad Bachootz service, we will also be offering a Family Program for Children ages 8 and under led by Carly Prusky for parents and children to enjoy together. This program will offer fun activities and games for our littlest members as we welcome a New Year.
Kol Nidre: Family Program
Marcia Beck and Carly Prusky will be offering a meaningful immersive experience where we look back at our past year and set the tone for the New Year. Wonderful parent and teen volunteers will help complete our experience for each service. We look forward to you joining us for davening in an environment shaped for families.
